How We Review
Every profile says how we know what it says: visited, purchased or sourced. We do not accept payment for a review, and we do not publish ratings or rankings.
Review basis
- Visited: an editor was at the studio or store.
- Purchased: an editor bought and used the product.
- Sourced: built from the label's own published material and press, checked against primary sources.
Our promises
- No paid or fake reviews. Unverifiable claims are not published.
- Craft, certification and sustainability claims are described only with a cited source.
- Sponsored or featured placements, if they exist, are labelled and cannot change a profile or its editorial order.
- Each profile carries a one-line point of view written by a person.
When we get it wrong
